Harry Mottram -
Credited as the Founder of the Bristol Casuals Association. (see home
page) Harry founded Henleaze Corinthians in 1993. Eccentric
advertising boss Harry was a legend in his own lunch break. Instantly recognisable in silk
waistcoat, bowtie while sporting a variety of old pipes. As a goalie "The Cat"
was probably the best there ever was. Leg lagging, port and lots of goals were Harry's
trade marks. Harry went on to establish the Axbridge Saxons who entered the
Brunel league in 1998. Harry is alive and well and probably planning yet another football
giant. Poor Linda.
Quote from Harry - "A good Casual is a sportsman,
he never allows silly things like the score to be of importance - the most
important thing is to enjoy the great game, and to wear silk ladies knickers under your
shorts if that's what makes you happy. God save Queen Elizabeth and the Empire."
